Greetings and Welcome to Quilters Junction in Centralia Washington!

As many of you have heard, our beautiful new store was hit by floodwaters in December 2007. We have worked hard the last couple weeks, and with the generous support of so many volunteers and friends, we are open for business!

Enter the...."We Survived The 2007 Flood Quilt Challenge!"

  • Buy 1 yard (more or less) of flood recovered fabric from Quilters Junction
  • Using the 1 yard on the front of the quilt, create your commemoration quilt of your interpretation of the 2007 flood.
  • Use any technique, style, shape and size you wish
  • Finished quilts are due back in the shoppe July 16, 2008. They will be judged on visual appearance, creativity and use of fabric.
  • 1st place winner $100.00 gift Certificate to Quilters Junction
    2nd place $60.00 gift Certificate to Quilters Junction
    3rd place $40.00 gift Certificate to Quilters Junction
    The next six entrants will win a pen made from authentic flood recovered wood.
    All additional entrants will win a $5 gift certificate to Quilters Junction.
    There might even be some surprise winnings!
  • Quilts will be displayed in the shoppe July 21 through July 26, 2008

Our Quilt Shop Hop block this year is representative of the great flood in Lewis County, December 2007. Muffin was our Shoppe Cat from 1997 until we moved in 2007. She has starred in our past 2 blocks and you have enjoyed her so much that even though she retired when we moved last September it just seemed fitting to include her again this year. She wasn't actually in the flood, but if she were I'm sure she would have been the first one out of the building!
